Lee Mvtthews is one of New Zealand’s top Drum & Bass acts.

Graham Matthews and Tom Lee, met in 2012, and after discovering they had nearly identical music tastes, Lee Mvtthews formed in 2013. Since then, they’ve appeared in the set lists of the likes of Andy C, Pendulum, Sub Focus, A.M.C, Friction, Netsky, Metrik, Koven, K-Motionz, & Hybrid Minds. 

A firm favourite on the New Zealand festival circuit, having played every major festival including Rhythm & Vines, Electric Avenue, Northern Bass & Homegrown along with headlining shows up and down the country. In addition to this, they have become a go-to support act for an array of international acts including Wilkinson, Kanine, Grafix and ShockOne.

They have released on labels such as UKF, Viper Recordings, DeVice, Elevate, AEI & Dark Machine Records and music has clocked up over 60 Million streams across platforms, including self-released debut album, ‘Bones’ (certified Gold) and the standout track from the Bones album,  ‘Takeover (Ft. Nü) having reached Triple Platinum certification.  
‘Takeover’ has garnered almost 17 million plays on Spotify alone & spent over 2 years in the NZ Top 40 Singles charts, reached #1 on the NZ Dance (Itunes) & Radioscope Dance Charts, #8 on the Radioscope Pop Chart and #21 in the Top 100 Radioscope Chart. At the end of 2022, three years after its release, Takeover was the #9 most played track on NZ radio.

At the end of 2020, Lee Mvtthews took out the award for 'Best Electronic Artist' at the Aotearoa Music Awards and placed third in the 'Best Newcomer' category at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards (UK) in December 2021 with judges acknowledging it was the first time an act outside of Europe had excelled in this category.

In October & November 2022, Lee Mvtthews toured Australia for the first time as part of the Dark Machine Warehouse Tour, playing to packed rooms in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

2023 saw Lee Mvtthews continue the spread their wings internationally completing tours of the USA, Europe & UK. They also headed back into the studio to write & record their second album, 'Exit'. 

'Exit' out via AEI on 1st March 2024 charted at #7 on the New Zealand Top40 Album Charts and continues to be feature in the NZ Album charts. The 13-track album features the vocals of artists like UK acts Degs & Phantom and NZ legend Tiki Taane & rising stars Ella Monnery & Amila. 

To celebrate the release, Lee Mvtthews played a sold out 3-Date tour of some of NZ’s most iconic rooms - The Great Hall Wellington, the Christchurch Townhall & the Auckland Townhall in April & May 2024.

Showing no sign of slowing down,  Lee Mvtthews now head to Australia to play shows in Sydney & Perth at the start of June before heading to Europe for a number of shows including playing at the iconic Bootshaus in Cologne, Germany & Let It Roll Festival, Czech Republic.

New music is scheduled for the second half of 2024 so fans won’t have to wait long for the next Lee Mvtthews banger!
